Luxury Mincemeat Biscuits
Get yourself ready for Christmas with our favourite mincemeat biscuits. Perfect for those with a sweet tooth, all while getting in the festive spirit - and they only take 30 minutes!
Ingredients
- 200g (7oz) butter
- 300g (11oz) caster sugar
- 3 eggs
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- 400g (14oz) plain flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
- 125g (4½oz) chopped walnuts
- 425g (15oz) Reet Yorkshire Food Luxury Mincemeat
Method:
Prep: 20 mins
Cook: 10 mins
- Preheat oven to 180 C/Gas Mark 4. Grease Baking trays
- Cream butter, sugar and eggs together, then beat in the vanilla
- Sift the flour, salt and bicarbonate of soda together, add to butter mixture
- Mix well until blended
- Stir in the nuts and mix well
- Drop a good tablespoonful measure of the mixture on the prepared baking trays
- Add a good teaspoon of mincemeat onto the top of the mixture
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes until light brown
- Remove from baking tray and allow to cool on wire rack
